Isla Escudo De Veraguas was our very favorite destination while traveling through Central America. The white sand beaches, lush mangroves and turquoise water made it impossible to forget this secluded island paradise. Since we literally took over a thousand photos on these islands alone; it`s only fitting that we share a few of the best!
White Sand Beaches
Isla Escudo de Veraguas is located about 4 hours off of Panama’s Caribbean coast. Even on a calm day be prepared for a long and bumpy (but extremely beautiful) boat ride. As soon as you arrive you will be rewarded with your choice of private beaches just like this.
The colors that make up the mangroves and the ocean floor surrounding the island offer incredible views, especially from above. This was hands down one of our favorite spots on the island!
We spent hours boating around to different snorkel spots and swimming through these tropical channels. Sounds terrible, right? And yes.. the water really is that crystal clear!
The Famous Cave
Being inside this cave is an unbelievably surreal experience.. especially when you have it all to yourself! It is gorgeous to look into.. but the real money shot is looking out.
Watching the sun go down from the boat while driving around Isla Escudo de Veraguas was a phenomenal way to end the day.
Hidden coves that surround small beaches are scatter all around the island. We spent the mornings and afternoons exploring these unique pieces of natures architecture.
Unlimited Snorkel Spots
The aquatic life around the island is pretty spectacular. Hopping off the side of the boat would reveal rays, coral, tropical fish and even turtles!
The views from above are absolutely breathtaking; this place was made for drone shots! Make sure those batteries are fully charged for your trip, you won’t want to miss out.
I know I`ve shown you the mangroves already but seriously.. we couldn`t get enough! Imagine spending your mornings and afternoons soaking up views just like this as you cruise through the mangroves that surround Isla Escudo de Veraguas.
Everywhere you look you will find stunning shoreline. After a few days you`ll find yourself thinking.. oh its just another unbelievably beautiful view.. no biggie!
While touring around the island we met up with a local fisherman. He sold us these lobster for only $5 USD each!
